2003-09-18 - 5:48 p.m. Give Everything A Bit of Time When I started jogging again last week, I covered only about half of the ground I used to cover before fatiguing. When I went out again two days later, I covered more ground. And two days after that, more ground than that. While I'm not pushing myself, in no time I'll be back where I was in May. But Sunday night something interesting happened. My mp3 player died just as I was on my way out frying the files. I went out for the first time in years without music. And I went further than I'd been doing for some time. When I got back, I realized I had been out longer as well. I think I'm running faster when I have music, and doing so at a pace that I can't sustain yet. Though tonight I'll go with music again, it will be interesting in the next few months to run experiments on myself. The problem of course is, knowing what I know, won't that bias my own little experiments? n.p. collide :: chasing the ghost -=-
