Original Date: 2003.05.30 :: Derailment?

While trying to purchase our tickets from travel from and to France (with the exception of our trip to France from the Netherlands) we found out that on June 3rd that there may be a railstrike. This could potentially leave us stranded in Spain and unable to make it to Leipzig.

If we weren't tied into a schedule via the festival this wouldn't be an issue, but we'll figure something out.

On the brighter side of things, our trip to Paris was fantastic. [NOTE: I'm talking about the train ride, we were only passing through Paris at this point.] Our railpass was valid for the Thalys (i.e. high speed rail). Though I have no idea how fast we were traveling, watching the speeding freeway traffic stand completely still was amazing. Easily this is the fastest my body has traveled on land. [NOTE: I found out we were traveling around 300 km/hr.]
